Today in my painting class we were pushed to use experimental materials and methods to create two compositions. For the two spotted paintings I first did a thick layer of spackle, covered by latex paint and then sealed with a thick layer of gesso varnish. The other painting is simply a thick coating of spackle with some fine sand and spray paint applied.

Assorted Sketchbook Images
These images come from a black Moleskine that I started last year during my Cornish College 'foundations' class. The main motive in this sketchbook is to experiment -- not worry to much about finished, delicate or overly cherished images. It's been fun playing around with color and different mediums, I encourage anyone reading this to seriously play around with material and let loose any preconceptions you have about your art.
