Assorted Sketchbook Pages

A few of my more successful and interesting pages from the sketchbook I am currently working in. I only have two more pages left until it is completely full - damn that went by fast. Enjoy the drawings.

Edit: Added last page of my AF Logistics Command Moleskine which I've been working in since September of last year. Naturally I ended it with a reference to penises. . . Oh and a side view of the book to show how thick its gotten over the year.

Yost Park Map

This is a trail map that my friend Danny and I made about two (?) years ago. We took a pre-existing park map and added to it all the trails, landmarks etc. that were never listed on the official map. In addition to adding smaller side trails and landmarks we also continued to rate various locations based on a 5 star scale for their natural beauty. The final map was hand drawn by myself and then colored with colored pencils. The final product that took roughly a month or so to finish is posted below - unfortunately my scanner is slightly too small for this image so the very edges were cut off. Anyways. Enjoy.

Sketchbook Pages

Some more sketches. Many of these are quick copies of famous paintings etc. done in class slide shows or from books I find in the Library. I have to admit that this may be my new favorite thing to do - that is - find art books in the library stacks and copy the images I like, I find that this may ultimately help me to understand value better and practice composition from the masters. Enjoy.

Figure as Form Drawing

After completing the below mentioned Figure as Form assignment we were asked to create a large scale finished drawing on paper with any medium we chose. This is what I drew.
